OOTD: Flare

My OOTD is dedicated to the color red. This color is hot and always adds flare to your ensemble. Sometimes it’s just as simple as applying some red to your lips.

Today, I pulled red in through my dress and my makeup. My dress is a patterned midi with splashes of red throughout the design that was found for a steal at Cato’s. To make the outfit really pop, I added a belt brown ankle boots of the same color. I decided to go simple with the accessories so I didn’t take away from the dress. I wore my watch by Fossil, and my earrings are Premier Designs.

Have fun with your red. It’s a great color!

Style Trend: Spring 2015

Trendy colors this season include corals, sea greens, and lilacs.

Use these colors in a variety of ways to boost the look of your outfit.

Another trend this season is the tropical/floral pattern. You see it everywhere. In shoes, handbags, accessories. The possibilities are endless!

Have fun with your style this spring!

Easter 2015 – Fashion is Still a Must

Happy Easter, everyone! Hope you all are having a wonderful time with your families. I just wanted to take a few moments of your time to share some Easter fashion with you lovely people.

Ever since I was a little girl, my family coordinates colors every Easter. It’s our biggest family tradition on this holiday. This year, our colors consisted of teal, coral, and blue hues. All variations pulled into one beautiful array of spring colors.

You can tell spring is in the air!

And we were proud of our shoes too! (My family is really an interesting bunch.)

All in all, we pulled together some awesome print and solid combinations. It was a successful Easter look!

Everyone have the happiest of holidays and always remember to share it with the ones you love. Cherish every memory. Happy Easter!!

OOTD: Light Cover-Ups

Today, my outfit consisted of a comfy pair of boyfriend jeans along with a simple graphic t-shirt. I threw on a light cover-up. Don’t be afraid to mix your prints. It’s not a fashion no-no anymore. In fact, it makes your outfit pop with a little flare.

I added a beautiful gold watch along with gold hoops for accessories.

My handbag is a Franco Sarto and my sandals are Michael Kors.

Sunday Colors: Green, Tan, and Brown

I’m going to start a new kind of weekly post called Sunday Colors. Every week, my choir picks colors that we wear to blend together, and I just love some of the combos. So, I want to share them with you.

This week? Green, tan, and brown.

I didn’t have a green top, so I just added my pop of green with a scarf, a must have in women’s closets.

OOTD: Stripes

Happy Sunday to all my fellow fashionistas!

Today, I wore a striped maxi dress from Dress Barn. And before you judge, they have cute clothes (affordable too!).

This look is casual, yet sassy. And sophisticated enough that it worked for me to wear to church.

I topped it off with a turquoise-colored (I believe it’s denim material) jacket.

And once again, accessories are key to completing an outfit. The rings and bracelet are Premier Designs and the watch is BKE from Buckle. And a side note, I got my nails done at The Nailz Spa. Love them!

Don’t be afraid to wear your stripes! They are a bold but beautiful statement maker!

A Nightly Ritual: Beauty Secrets

Ladies, at the end of the day, when you get home and get out of your fancy clothes and shoes, what’s the first thing you want to do?

You guessed it! Take off that make-up and give your skin a break!

Sure, make-up makes us feel beautiful, but how about natural glowing skin? I don’t know about you, but that’s my favorite. Every night before I go to bed, I have a ritual, you might call it, to make my skin look healthy and refreshed for the next day. And I thought I’d take some time to share my secrets with you. But shhhh… you can’t tell anyone, promise? Good!

Step 1: Get that make-up off your face!

I suggest using some sensitive make-up removing wipes (and, yes, the off-brand works just as well as name brand, for all you bargain hunters!), however for people like my sister, HD, she can’t use wipes, so she uses a gentle foaming wash to get her face clean. She would recommend Simple Foaming Cleanser.

Step 2: Skin care!

Everybody needs to do this, and your skin will thank you later. My favorite is Devonne by Demi. This line is gentle on most skin types and really leaves your skin refreshed. And it’s easy, just follow the three-step system and your skin will look and feel amazing!

Step 3 (Optional): Exfoliate the lips

Yes, this is a step I take. Recently, me and HD found an exfoliating lip treatment that has made a world of difference. If you’re like me, you get chapped lips quite often, and who likes that, really? This takes care of that instantly. You can find it at The Body Shop.

After I complete all my steps, I can’t help but smile at the face in the mirror because I feel radiant! And I want you to feel the same way!

And when I said to keep these secrets, I was only kidding. Tell everyone!
